Greetings saints, hoping that you are doing well. There is something I believe will equip you for your assignment in the kingdom of God, and it’s about using communion to advance your kingdom assignment here on earth.
Many people think that communion is only done in church and have never done it as a family or in the marketplace, I mean at your workplace.
Without equivocation, the first time in the bible we encounter communion was not in church. It was in the valley of kings, this is where kings will meet and trade, if it was today, it means it was in the marketplace. This was between King Melchizedek and Abram.
Genesis 14:18-20
And Melchizedek, king of Salem, brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. 19 And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth: 20 And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand.
So, communion is not restricted to church settings only, and it’s not monthly or weekly but as often as you can with revelation. Paul went on to explain this;
1 Corinthians 11:25
New Living Translation
In the same way, he took the cup of wine after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant between God and his people—an agreement confirmed with my blood. Do this in remembrance of me as often as you drink it.”
Secondly, communion was taken just before the blessing was given to Abram. Some of you, you prefer New Testament. Before the blessing was transferred to Gentiles through the cross, I mean just before Jesus was crucified, He had communion with his disciples.
Galatians 3:13-14
New International Version
13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.” 14 He redeemed us in order that the BLESSING GIVEN TO ABRAHAM might come to the GENTILES through CHRIST JESUS, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the SPIRIT.
So, you see in both instances’ communion was taken just before the blessing was pronounced.
There are ingredients like yeast that are very symbolic/Prophetic (for me, it means the blessing of Abraham gives you the ability to do more with less, that’s innovation and creativity)
Matthew 13:33
New International Version
He told them still another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”
34 Jesus spoke all these things to the crowd in parables; he did not say anything to them without using a parable. 35 So was fulfilled what was spoken through the prophet:
“I will open my mouth in parables,
I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world.”
You see, children of God, this power of communion was hidden from the beginning of creation.
So search more on this and let it be your way of life. The other things about the yeast (blessing) it doesn’t change the color of the dough or texture, and it can permeate or infiltrate the whole dough in a remarkable and the effect is that it grows, and you cannot separate it from the dough. So is the blessing, once it comes upon you, it cannot be separated from you.
The blessing is not money or properties. People may take those from you, but the blessing can still cause you to establish other things💪💪💪💪.
Luke 13:20-21
New International Version
20 Again he asked, “What shall I compare the kingdom of God to? 21 It is like yeast that a woman took and mixed into about sixty pounds of flour until it worked all through the dough.”
So, believers, as we operate under the blessing of Abraham, we can penetrate and infiltrate every domain and the effect is growth of the message of the kingdom.
Thrive that your blog should penetrate countries with the message of the kingdom.
Desire and yearn for this blessing.
Wine speaks of the blood of Jesus Christ which is life (You see many people without the blessing they do everything but when it comes to things really prepared for them from the beginning they get weak (no life) and do nothing. So, the blood (wine)gives you life to pursue the blessing without strife.
The common Hebrew word for wine is yayin , from a root meaning “to boil up,” “to be in a ferment.” Others derive it from a root meaning “to tread out,” and hence the juice of the grape trodden out.
Tirosh, properly “must,” translated “wine” (Deuteronomy 28:51); “new wine” (Proverbs 3:10); “sweet wine” (Micah 6:15 ; RSV, “vintage”). This Hebrew word has been traced to a root meaning “to take possession of” and hence it is supposed that tirosh is so designated because in intoxicating it takes possession of the brain.(Promise of the Holy Spirit)So wine speaks of the Holy Spirit.
So, the Holy Spirit causes us to have power to possess territories and regions for Jesus Christ, but the blessing of the Holy Spirit also causes us to possess properties and land for the kingdom advancement. That’s why Paul said the gospel is not a matter of talking empty words, is demonstration of POWER.
Among the blessings promised to Esau (Genesis 27:28) mention is made of “plenty of corn and tirosh.” Palestine is called “a land of corn and tirosh.
In conclusion if you are experiencing resistance, or you feel powerless in the pursuit of your assignment take communion with your spouse in your marriage, take communion with your business partners (that’s why you shouldn’t be unequally yoked because some will treat these kingdom strategies as foolish things). Take communion with revelation and see the blessing activated in your life, marriage, ministry, and business.
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you very much my dear EVIDENCE for your wonderful explanation. I really appreciate.
However, there is no dichotomy between the Old Testament (OT) and the New Testament (NT) per say. Both of them are complimenting each other like the two sides of a coin. The OT is the prefiguration of the NT while the NT is the fulfilment of the OT. We believe both of them with faith.
Secondly, the word “Church” means “Ecclessia” which is derived from the Greek word. It means: “the gathering of people, or simply refers to any assembly or local bodies of believers.”
When you study Ecclesiology, you will observe that it is the systematic quest into the the mission, identity, role, organization, structure and nature of the Church, which presupposes faith. Hence, ecclesiology has the following features:
1. The Church as a Sacrement.
2. The Church as Pilgrim.
3. The Church as Herald.
4. The Church as Communion.
5. The Church as Servant.
6. The Church as People of God.
7. The Church as Mystical Body if Christ.
Therefore, as Christians (Church) who are the People of God, Mystical Body of Christ, etc.; we communion with God and humanity in different dimensions, with faith, mutual love, care and conviviality. But, during the Holy Eucharist (Holy Communion) which is the “True Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, Soul and Divinity, under the appearance of Bread and Wine”, we eat, or participate in it not only with faith and love, but also with reverence because we are receiving Jesus Christ (God) Himself who nourishes our our Souls.
Thank you.

Greetings and thank you Rev, I totally agree with you about the OT and NT .I posted something about altars here and a lot of people had questions about referencing to old testament and I think there is a lot of teaching on that some believers are trying to evade the revelation in the OT and say they are under grace. So I appreciate when I see believers like you standing for the truth.
They really compliment each other.
And thank you for such vast and rich knowledge you have shared.
You have broaden my understanding in this area of communion.
God bless you!

While growing up, my dad made me understand that he was the Priest of our home as the Head of the family and representative of God. So he usually, gave us communion at home, I always looked forward to it.
Till date, whenever my siblings and I visit home with our children, my dad still gives us Holy Communion. Now our kids always look forward to taking communion at Grandpa’s house.
I always give my kids communion at home too whenever we pray.
I believe that Holy Communion is not limited to the church.

Wow, at least you got the revelation from your father for us we had to know these things through church after many years of Idolatry and ancestry worship.
Never lose that revelation, communion is a powerful tool we have in the kingdom of God.
We just need to be intentional.
You are really blessed my sister!

Hi Evidence! I used to watch my mother, later in life take communion at the start of each day. I think she knew that she needed the strength and the power of the Holy Spirit to gain spiritual ground daily💕 Great Post👍🏾

Oooh!!! Wonderful she had the revelation and if we institute this prophetic act we can tap into the power promised to us.
The weapons of our warfare are not canal but they are might in pulling down strongholds.
Sometimes we struggle unnecessarily because we are not using the technology we have as believers.
May God help us.
At least the culture is already in you so you can continue to show the pattern to your children.

Thank you for pointing out the bread and wine with Melchizedek and Abram.
Also that the communion vibes before the blessing.
So many times we want to limit the frequency of communion.
I believe that the Word is the bread, and the life of the Word is the Holy Spirit, the “Abundance of Wine”.
Thank you for sharing your revelation.

We give glory to God for the revelation.
They say revelation is permission to operate in that realm where that revelation controlls.
And we must take advantage of available tools in the kingdom and one of them is communion.
Thank you Pedro

I love This! Revelation is permission…….never thought of it that way.Why would one ask for and receive revelation in the first place? To act !

I used to take communion every day when after my prayer time. I would say the Lord’s prayer and repent of any sins that I knew of. I started calling this my Communion time. Then as the kids grew up and times changed, I had my own prayer room and still had my Communion time without the bread and juice. The definition of communion is to converse intimately. The Lord had changed my time to where I would pour out my heart to Him and He would answer back with the Word or with nature outside my window. I have been so blessed during this time as I really learned to converse with Him intimately. I have learned and am still learning to hear His voice.
Now it has only grown to not just in the morning but in all of my life. He is there and always a very present help in time of trouble, just like He says.
I believe the taking of communion is symbolic of what He wants and that is for us to know Him and Him to know us. Just like the feasts are symbolic of Him. We must never forget what the blood and the bread symbolize. The door is open for us to come and know Him.
I love the way you bring it into the workplace. He will meet you where you are. I love this Post

Oooh yes .
I know if you start to experience the real power of communion, you will not want to quit.
And you don’t want the time of communion to be just ordinary.
You also get to know the voice of God and not to down Him when He speaks

It becomes a wonderful way of life that you look forward to everyday and cannot live without. And because it is His will, He causes us to grow in Him. it causes us to trust Him even when He is testing us. I know He will always see me through.

Hello
Thank you for your email inviting me to read your post. Jesus said regarding the bread at the last supper He had with his apostles ‘Do this in remembrance of me’.
Anytime we break bread we can remember His sacrifice and be eternally grateful. Bread is b-read, b represents the boy, the Son of God in this case, who we read about in the scriptures, hence Jesus is the B-read of life as He said, the father’s Beautiful Boy who became a Man.
As regards the wine this sounds like ‘whine’. If those who follow Jesus complain they might then be reminded of the ‘whine’ of God, shed blood to cancel out the whines, the sins of the people.
The bread and wine remind us of Jesus, but then there are so many things that do. In fact the whole creation speaks of Him if we look. I might write a book on it.
But then people have been writing books for years and years as more is revealed in creation of the nature and character of God.
As regards the parable of the yeast, whilst it is true that yeast is a blessing in making a dough, in the context on Matthew 13 in fact it refers to corruption, the corruption of the false teaching of the pharisees.
This explains it well.

Thank you so much for the feedback and coming to read.
The contribution to the article is very powerful and I believe many will read the comment and be blessed.
As for the yeast Jesus Christ used to teach using parables which means he wants us to tbe think how the yeast operates that’s why it can be used as a good thing and as the bad thing because its not the yeast which is bad.But the teaching that comes from things we relate with and use in our day to lives.
Thats why He starts by saying the Kingddom of God is like… meaning yeast is not the kingdom of God but its like….

I am sorry, but it is not the case that Jesus wants us to think of the yeast as a good thing in the parable.
The context of the parable is vital. Matthew is a book primarily for the Jews. They understood the context of leaven as something that puffs up. This is what the Pharisees were guilty of, a false pride.
Jesus was issuing a stark warning, similar to the other 6 parables in chapter 13, i.e false teachers will come to deceive the church if possible. The Roman Catholic Church is the best example where it was set up by men, not by God. Truth and lies mixed together.
You must look at that link I sent, I would have written myself in that manner.
I don’t wish to be blunt with you but you need to handle scripture correctly, otherwise you will fall into error.

Read this verse and let’s share what you think.Jesus used to teach through illustrations so you have to understand the purpose of illustration
Mathew 13 :33
New Living Translation
Jesus also used this illustration: “The Kingdom of Heaven is like the yeast a woman used in making bread. Even though she put only a little yeast in three measures of flour, it permeated every part of the dough.”
For me He is teaching about how a the kingdom of God can grow from small/ little and fill the whole earth.
I think your context is not correct on this one.

I shall get annoyed with you if you do not read the link I sent to you which obviously you haven’t. It clearly explains. I am by my reckoning probably twice your age and have followed Christ since my teens. I understood about leaven in this context since my 20’s.
You are displaying gross arrogance towards me in your approach and need to humble yourself. You are reading the text with the mind of fleshly man, not in the spirit.
If you cannot be bothered to examine the link I sent, then you should not be attempting to give your opinion.
Your opinion about what Christ is teaching re leaven in this matter is plain wrong

Thank you. We are here to sharpen each other, but if I present evidence you should consider it. It is not as if I am presenting it as my own, although as I say I would probably write in similar vein.
I had no wish to reinvent the wheel and set out what someone else has already written in detail. We can discuss what the link says if you wish.

Thanks for this post Evidence as you have reminded me of something which I need to do. I didn’t make it to church on Sunday as I wasn’t feeling well. One of our Pastors mentioned that they were serving communion and I thought I did miss out as I was sure that it would have helped. I decided that I would try to do it during the week at home and have forgotten about it. This has reminded me as I am leading worship tomorrow. This will definitely help as part consecrating myself before ministration. Bless you. 🙏🏾
